Service Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>Layer Title:</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN> PLSS Sections</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>Abstract:</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN> </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>Polygon layer that contains all PLSS sections in Skagit County. Sections are part of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS). The PLSS is the surveying method used historically over the largest fraction of the United States to survey and spatially identify land parcels before designation of eventual ownership, particularly for rural, wild or undeveloped land. In U.S. land surveying under the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), a Section is an area nominally one square mile, containing 640 acres, with 36 sections making up one survey Township on a rectangular grid. They are referenced in most legal descriptions.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>Update Cycle:</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN> As Needed</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>Accuracy:</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN> Varies (+-60’ Average.)
