It was created for the County GIS Department to track progress in active remap project areas. This information is updated on an as-needed basis. Skagit County maps and data are created from public records and existing data sources. Records and data have been adjusted to achieve a "best fit" registration to create Skagit County maps. While great care is taken in this process, records and data from different sources rarely agree as to the precise location of geographic features. The relative positioning of map and data features to one another results from combining different sources without ground truthing. Maps and data are approximate and are not designed to be accurate to surveying or engineering standards. Spatial accuracy errors do exist as a result. Maps and data are for informational purposes only. They do not purport to represent a property boundary survey of any features shown and shall not be used for conveyances or the establishment of property.
