This permit is a requirement under the Federal Clean Water Act that Washington Department of Ecology administers. Generally, the NPDES permit area represents Census defined Urbanized Areas and Skagit County Urban Growth Areas. The Skagit County NPDES permit area represents the current approved boundary by the Department of Ecology. Anything within the boundary is considered to be in the NPDES Permit </SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>area.</SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>Update Cycle:</SPAN></SPAN><SPAN> As-Needed.
