Some areas within the Parcel Accuracy Focus Area have already been remapped. Records and data have been adjusted to achieve a "best fit" registration to create Skagit County maps. While great care is taken in this process, records and data from different sources rarely agree as to the precise location of geographic features. The relative positioning of map and data features to one another results from combining different sources without ground truthing. Maps and data are approximate and are not designed to be accurate to surveying or engineering standards.
